Killing our Children: American Style
This paper deals with the deaths of school-age children in the city of Chicago, Illinois.Despite a decrease in violent crime for the city. The youth of the city are an at risk population due to community violence that seems to be endemic to certain neighborshood and some instances family violence.Chronic and concentrated poverty are susupected as environtal factors. Other factors are also considered.Some sections of the city are notoriusfor high levels of street gang activity and drug trafficking and that investgated also.Suggested interventions are set forth for the affected families of the victims.
