The Social Structure and the Levels of Perception of the Problems of the Students in the Campus Dormitories in Konya-Turkey
The data were obtained from 188 students staying in 3 different dormitories at Alaeddin Keykubat Campus of Selçuk University to determine their social structures and problems by using face to face questionnaire technique. There are 4932 students and statistical analyses of the data gathered from the polls have been realized by SPSS 15.0 pack program. In order to examine the effect of students’ social problems on their levels of success, the analysis of “Pearson Correlation” has been implemented between arithmetic averages of the participants’ grades and their levels of pleasure with the dormitories. In addition, analysis has also been implemented between the participants’ lessons they failed and the level of being pleased with the service groups. In general, participants were found pleased with the dormitory facilities and pleasure didn’t affect the success significantly. The possible reason may be that social structure of the students and perceptions of the problems were different.
