A subculture resulting from network technologies would simulate the homogenization among people based on functional requirements and would synchronize with traditional culture to gain the recognition. On some popular websites and online chatting locations such subcultures have indeed surfaced.
From another prospective,the network technologies have undergone vast changes in terms of hardware and software. Email, chat-rooms and mobile phones have emerged as parts of it. These modern communication media have sneaked into and became part of our daily life as essential communication tools. They are shaping our conceptualization of space and time thus affecting our human relationship at the social and cultural levels. This paper will analyse these trends and developments and explore their implications.
